Assistant Business Development Manager
We are a technology management and federal policy analysis consulting firm located in Rockville, MD. We are seeking an Assistant Business Development Manager/Market Researcher to identify, qualify and help pursue Federal agency business opportunities.
The responsibilities will include:
- Visiting potential government or commercial clients to gather information on client plans, programs, and program funding; make presentations to potential clients
- Reviewing web sites and tracking Federal business Opportunities
- Review bid solicitations and make recommendations to management regarding the viability of and strategy for responding to procurements
- Assisting in the preparation of proposals and capability statements, technical proposals and briefing materials; and coordinating the production of proposals to ensure that proposals are delivered on-time
- Conducting research and contributing to the preparation of technical reports
Required skills/experience:
- Masters degree in economics, sociology, business, or related discipline
- Minimum of 2 years of relevant experience
- A dynamic, outgoing personality and good communication skills
- Track record of identifying business opportunities, executing effective teaming arrangements
- Experience with or exposure to marketing the Federal Government
- A track record of winning business opportunities within Federal agencies such DOL, HUD, HHS, NIH, SBA, Department of Commerce or DOD is a plus
